A note on how it’s built
Signing in sets one cookie, and its only job is keeping you signed in. There is no tracking, no analytics and no third-party script anywhere on this site — before you sign in, your browser stores nothing at all. Every page in your account is scoped to you by the server rather than by a secret link, so a forwarded URL gets nobody in.
The cookie policy spells out exactly what is set and for how long, and the privacy policy covers what I hold and how to get rid of it.
Common questions
Does the portal cost extra?
No. It comes with any work I do for you, and it stays available afterwards. There is no plan, no per-seat charge and nothing to cancel.
Do I need to remember another password?
No — there are no passwords. You enter the email address I invoice and I send you a one-time sign-in link. It works once and expires after twenty minutes, which is both easier for you and safer than a password you would reuse.
What is a preview site, and why does it matter?
It is a complete working copy of your website at a private address that search engines cannot reach. I build there instead of on your live site, so your customers never see half-finished work, and you can look at every change on your own phone before anything goes live.
Can anyone else see my invoices or messages?
No. Every page is scoped to your account by the server — not by a link that could be forwarded. Someone signed in to a different account requesting your invoice gets nothing back, and a signed-out visitor cannot reach any of it.
What if I would rather just email you?
Then email me. The portal exists to save you time, not to put a system between us — anything you send to harry@smiths-seo.co.uk reaches exactly the same person.
